The class had an amazing afternoon at Go Air. They were so excited to win the competition and couldn’t have been happier with their prize. It was so nice to see them showing off their trampolining tricks and all getting on so well together, teaching each other new things and encouraging one another to step out of their comfort zones. The spring term has been very busy so far but I have been unable to update the class blog due to technical issues with the app, after a new update it’s finally working again.
When we came back after Christmas we had two lovely surprises. Firstly we had a letter from Downing Street thanking us for our “excellent” letters about the Lagoon. Secondly Mrs Peters came to announce that we had jointly won the video competition for the Love the Lagoon competition and that our prize was a free trip to Go Air. We have since had a second letter from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Unfortunately this was quite difficult for the children to understand but gist of it was that the building of the Lagoon is a complex issue and a decision will be made in due course. Since then we have been working very hard on: fractions and decimals writing stories and poems learning about recycling carrying out investigations into dissolving Making soup as part of instruction writing Taking part in creative movement as part of PE Swimming Learning about LA and Hollywood I’ve been really impressed with the children who are making a huge afford with their homework at the moment. |
