Our class raised a fantastic £35!
Everybody enjoyed wearing either 80s gear or a costume and looked great for their visit from Pudsey. On Monday we had a lovely visit to Dinefwr National Trust. We had a lovely walk to the castle where we got to play in the woods and have a spectacular view of the Towy Valley.
In the afternoon we got to see Newton House where the Lords and Ladies of Dinefwr lived for hundreds of years. The children took part in activities that helped them to understand what life may have been like for Victorian servants. Before half term we started a unit of work on the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon. The class have been highly motivated to take part in these activities which have included:
Researching information about Swansea Finding out about fossil fuels and renewable energy Gathering arguments for and against the lagoon Conducting a survey and analysing the results Writing letters to Phillip Hammond and Theresa May This week they children have planned sections of a class video in groups. Some of these groups have recorded their videos using green screen technology. This work is for a competition that we would like to take part in for "Love the Lagoon". In order for us to take part please can you return the consent forms ASAP. Many thanks |
